Ya girl has finally gotten a job.
I’m an associate editor at Bank Innovation, a financial technology publication. I less than three months in and I’ve already traveled for work, I’ve written a ton of articles, gone to events (where there’s some bomb free food), and I have some financial stability.
I also get to work in an office by Bryant Park, which is a great place to walk past. And the office has snacks and drinks in it, which isn’t usual for a lot of media. I no longer have to buy seltzer water, I just take it from the fridge at work and drink to my heart’s content.
There were a number of things that lead to me finally getting a full-time job in media, even after a really crappy year of layoffs and publications being in the hot seat for how reporters were treated. I wrote about it and explained the networking behind how I got my job.

Exciting Byline:
I was published in the times. I wrote about helping raise other kids and what it means to me. It meant a lot to write this story and have a NYT byline.
